Shopian Police solves kidnapping case of 2 minor cousin sisters
Srinagar: Shopian police on Thursday claimed that they solved the kidnapping case of two minor cousin sisters within 12 hours, who were allegedly kidnapped in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Police mentioned both the abducted girls have been recovered within 12 hours. Immediately after the sisters, both aged about 14 years, went missing, police told that a case under the FIR No. 21/2021 under section 363 IPC (kidnapping) was registered in police station Zainapora, Shopian. According to the SSP Shopian, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) comprising of five different police stations immediately started the investigation, raided different locations and detained at least 25 persons for questioning. The statement added upon the confessions of the one of arrested and acting on the technical inputs finally girls were recovered and the accused was arrested from Srinagar.
