Pulwama: JKPCC Vice President Surinder Singh Channi chaired a crucial workers’ meeting in Tral today, focusing on strengthening the party’s base at the grassroots level. The meeting witnessed active participation from booth-level workers, local leaders, and area coordinators, all united under the common goal of reconnecting with the people and amplifying their concerns.

“Our aim is clear—we must reach every doorstep and rebuild public trust through consistent, honest engagement. The people of Tral, and all of Jammu and Kashmir, are looking for leadership that stands with them, not just during elections but every single day,” said Channi while addressing the workers.

The meeting also saw the joining of a prominent local figure into the Congress fold, further energizing the party’s cadre in the region. Channi warmly welcomed the new entrant, stating, “This joining reflects the growing faith of the people in the Congress party’s vision for dignity, democracy, and development.”

Key issues discussed during the meeting included unemployment, broken infrastructure, lack of transparency in governance, and the continued denial of statehood to J&K. Channi assured that the Congress would continue to raise these matters forcefully and work toward restoring democratic rights and responsive governance in the region.
