Residential house gutted in fire mishap at Phrimoo Kokernag. Family head dies, shocked

Anantnag,01 Feb: A close-knit community has been left shocked after an elderly man died following a fire at his house in the Kokernag area of South Kashmir in Anantnag District.
A residential house was completely gutted in the massive blaze during the intervening night of Sunday-Monday in one of the residential houses belonging to Abdul Rehman Najar on Phrimoo Gadol area of Kokernag.
Reports said that the sudden incident left the head of the family,Abdul Rehman Najar dead who was shocked to see his house on fire.
Reports said that a nearby Army unit of 19 RR rushed to the spot and doused the flames and put the fire under control.
The deceased was identified as 60-year-old Abdul Rehman Najar, resident of phrimoo village of Kokernag, a labourer by profession.
In the mishap, the residential house was completely damaged. Official sources said that the exact figure of loss was not immediately known adding that the cause of the fire is being ascertained.
Meanwhile, Kokernag police took cognizance of this fire mishap.
