POLICE-MEDIA FRATERNITY INTERACTION HELD IN BUDGAM

BUDGAM: 07th May 2022 : Senior Superintendent of Police Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS along with other police officers of Budgam held a detailed interaction with various members associated with print and electronic media at District Police Lines Budgam.

SSP Budgam highlighted the importance and role of media in a democratic setup by describing media as an important pillar of democracy. While appreciating their role, he called for a mutual coordination with regard to reformation of society by eradicating social evils from the society. He also assured the media persons that all the issues discussed in the meeting will be taken care of at the earliest and enjoined upon them to imbibe professional value and be committed for the welfare of public.

and other officers also attended the interactive meeting.

On the occasion, several issues related to day-to-day policing were discussed and all the participants called for further strengthening the relations between police and media. Media fraternity members also put forth a series of suggestions of public importance, and chairing officer assured to take all these on priority.

The participating media personnel assured their full cooperation with police and also appreciated the efforts of police in facilitating such interaction meets where participants can express their opinion freely.
