Police district Awantipora launches plantation drive

Awantipora: Police District Awantipora in collaboration with Department of Floriculture launched a plantation drive of Chinar trees in various Police establishments including District Police Lines Awantipora, Police Station Tral, Grid Station Pampore etc.

SSP Awantipora Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS, SDPO Tral, SDPO Pampore DySP DAR and other officers/officials of Police District Awantipora participated in the drive.

SSP Awantipora said that the main aim of this initiative is to promote greenery in our establishments as a part of larger sustainable Ecological Development.

He said that the preservation of our ecology assumes importance so as to stabilize our ecosystem in order to preserve the ecological diversity within it.

He further said that being part of a responsible organization, we must plant trees to keep the nature in its best balance and we must gift our future generations a green and clean environment.
