Police arrested a drug peddler at Anantnag, recovered Mefar tablets Codeine phosphate syrup from his possession

Anantnag,13 April 2021:In its continuous efforts against social crimes, Police party from police Post Sherbagh along with DO Bus Stand laid a Naka at Mattan Chowk and apprehended one person namely Tawseef Ahmad Lone S/O Mohd Yousuf Lone resident of Lalipora Malpora and recovered 10 strips of banned Mefar tablets later on his confession Police party recovered more 40 strips each contain 10 tablets total 500 tablets and 100 bottles of Codeine from paddy fields at Lalipora.
In this regard case, FIR No 82/2021 under relevant sections of the law stands registered in Police Station Anantnag and investigation has been taken up.
Anantnag Police once again appeals to the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding drug peddlers so that curative steps can be taken against them.
