No let up in extraction of sand, bajri from Nallah Mawer; Admin unmoved
Handwara, Nov 27 : Despite tall claims of authorities about banning of extraction of sand and bajri from Nallah Mawer, there is no let-up in the exercise.
The residents of the area said that few influential people are being allowed to loot state exchequer who in dark carried extraction of sand and bajri from Nallah Mawer illegally.
They said earlier authorities carried out a massive drive against the illegal extraction and claimed they have disconnected all routes leading to Nallah Mawer however all such claims prove hoax as the illegal exercise is going on unabatedly.
Residents alleged that such influential elements are hand in glove with officials of the department who are watching mute spectators over this loot.
They appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene in the matter and take stern action against the looters.
