Rajouri Deaths: Initial Reports Cite Contaminated Water A Reason

Rajouri, Jan 21: Initial Probe has cited contaminated water as a reason behind the death of 17 people, including 14 children, in Badhaal village of Rajouri district.

Sources said the initial probe has revealed traces of pesticides in a nearby water reservoir, from which the victims have reportedly consumed water.

According to the reports ,the inter-ministerial team has confirmed pesticide contamination in the water.

However, these are the initial findings and nothing final has been concluded from the overall findings.

It may be recalled that the district administration has already imposed a ban on the use of water from the reservoir.
