JKRERA, Revenue Dept to conduct joint inspections to curb growth of illegal colonies
JAMMU, JANUARY 22: To curb the growth of illegal colonies in Jammu district, the Jammu and Kashmir Real Estate Regulatory Authority (JKRERA) will conduct joint inspections with the Revenue department.The decision was taken today during a meeting of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaisya with Chairperson, JKRERA, Satish Chandra.During the meeting, the issue of development of illegal colonies in the district was discussed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner apprised the Chairperson of the actions being taken by the district administration against unauthorised constructions.“Notices will be issued to the defaulters and strict action will be taken against those who fail to comply with the Real Estate (Regulation and Development ) Act, 2016 and the rules and regulations made thereunder,” said the Chairperson JKRERA.He added that this move is aimed at ensuring planned development, protecting home buyer’s interests and preventing unauthorised constructions in Jammu district.
