Encounter breaks out in Rajouri

Srinagar, Sep12: An encounter has  started between militants and security forces in higher reaches of Barote Village of Rajouri district, officials said on Sunday morning.

Police officials told that security forces launched a cordon and search operation following  the presence of militants in the area.

They said that as they approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire on them leading an encounter.

The officials said that exchange of gunfire is going on both sides however there was no causality on either side.
