“Ek Paed Shaheed Kay Naam” Campaign: Police Officers Participate in Plantation Drive in Srinagar
Srinagar Aug 07 : Inspector General of Police V.K. Birdi-IPS, along with other police officers, participated in a significant plantation drive at the District Police Office (DPO) Srinagar as part of the “Ek Paed Shaheed Kay Naam” campaign.
During the event, IGP Kashmir, along with DIG CKR Srinagar Rajiv Pande-IPS and SSP Srinagar, planted saplings of various trees at the District Police Headquarters (DPO) Srinagar. This initiative aims to honor the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. SP DAR, SP HQ, DySP HQ Srinagar, CPO, and other DPO officials also took part in the program.
The main objective of this initiative is to foster a sense of patriotism and responsibility among citizens while honoring the brave-hearts of the Jammu & Kashmir Police. Additionally, it aims to promote awareness, the importance of environmental ethics, and community engagement in understanding the role of the police and the public in the upliftment of the nation and natural resources.
The plantation drive is not just a tribute to the martyrs but also a step towards enhancing environmental consciousness and community participation in preserving nature. By involving the community and police officers in such activities, the campaign seeks to strengthen the bond between the public and the police, highlighting their collective role in nation-building and environmental conservation.
