Director Finance of Higher Education Department visits GDC Tral

Takes Stock of Languishing Projects

Tral, June 12: The Director Finance, Higher Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir Mr. Abdul Majeed Bhat along with AAO Mr. Muhammad Hussain Tantray and subordinate staff today visited GDC Tral to take stock of the ongoing works under languishing projects and allied developmental projects.

The Director also interacted with the faculty and the establishment staff.

He was received by the principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Muhammad Farooq Mir and the senior faculty.

In his welcome address the Principal gave a detailed report of the college and put forward the future developmental plans in accordance with the vision and mission of the college.

The principal thanked the director finance for his maiden visit and assured him that the college administration would work tirelessly to utilize the allotted funds judiciously for the improvement of the educational standard in the area.

He also reiterated that the recently allotted funds revolutionised the college in terms of ICT.

Later on the Director Finance along with his team accompanied by the Principal and faculty took a round of the college campus, visited smart classrooms, ICT Lab, Science Laboratories, newly acquired land and interacted with the staff of all departments.

The director expressed his deep sense of satisfaction over the overall infrastructural development of college and its mesmerizing scenery of the campus.

A charter of demands was put before the worthy director finance and he was appraised with the facts that although the college was established way back in 1988 but is not still at par with colleges established after 2000 in terms of staff and infrastructure.

While having interaction with the executing agency, he ordered for the early completion of the ongoing projects especially the Library Block and assured that the Higher Education Department shall soon allocate funds for construct of hostel, Social Science block with eight classrooms, a state of art auditorium and a garage for college buses.

The director Finance also further took note of the demand regarding creation of more non-teaching positions to further strengthen the teaching learning process in the institution.
