START CONSULTATION PROCESS WITH THE POLITICAL PARTIES IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR: VAID
Jammu, June 30 : Senior BJP leader Shailender Vaid Wednesday urged the Delimitation Commission headed by Retd Supreme Court Judge Ranjana Desai to start the consultation process with the representatives of different political parties to complete the desired exercise in order to pave the way for the timely conduct of the Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
Referring to the successful conduct of the All-part meet convened by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vaid said, the consultation process and political outreach involving all the stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir has really set the stage for early conduct of the polls to elect a popular government.
Vaid said, “I am hopeful the meeting convened by the Delimitation commission in New Delhi on Wednesday will surely discuss the timeline to start the consultation process with the political parties in J&k”.
Vaid said due to differences representatives from the National Conference had boycotted the previous meeting of the Delimitation commission. Only BJP representatives had attended the meeting.
Two days ago the Jammu and Kashmir unit BJP held its Working Committee meeting and passed a political resolution, requesting for early completion of the delimitation process and holding of assembly elections in the union territory.
