Budgam police arrests 10 persons,seizes 10 tippers for illegal excavation, transportation of minerals: Police
BUDGAM: 25th April : Budgam Police on Monday arrested 10 persons involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.
According to police official , police party of police post Soibugh seized 10 tippers loaded with minerals and arrested 10 persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of clay and seized the tippers on spot during naka checking at Wadwan area of Budgam.The arrested persons have been identified as
01.Fayaz Ahmed Bhat son of Mohammad Amin Bhat resident of Hakermula
2.Shabir Ahmad Dar son of Ajaz Ahmed Dar resident of Nasrullahpora
3.Imran Ali Ganie son of Ali Mohammad Ganie resident of Parisabad
4.Mohammad Imran Shah son of Mohammad Shafi Shah resident of Hajibagh
5.Showkat Ahmed Shah son of Abdul Aziz Resident of hajibagh
6.Mudasir Ahmed Malla son of Ghulam Mohammad Malla resident of Dooru Sebdan
7. Murtaza Ali Bhat son of Ali Mohammad Bhat resident of Hakermula
8.Mohammad Yasin Qazi son of Ghulam Ahmad Qazi resident of Waterwani
9.Mohammad Iqbal Dar son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of Allahpora
10.Zahoor Ahmed Sheikh son of Mohammad Amin resident of tengpora
Registration numbers of Seized tippers are JK03B 2907,JK01D 1370, JK01J 3308, JK04 7055, JKO1F 9413, JK04 6684, JK02AV 0717, JK04 0832, JK14B 6599,& JKO4B 1587,police stated.
In this regard, Case FIR number 119/2022, under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation set into motion.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units, police said.
