Ashish Kumar Mishra Assumes Office as Senior Superintendent of Police in Srinagar
Srinagar, Oct 20 : In a significant administrative transition, Ashish Kumar Mishra has officially taken charge as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Srinagar, succeeding the outgoing SSP, Rakesh Balwal. This change in leadership follows a recent reshuffle within the police administration, as per an official order in possession of Arising state.
The handover of responsibilities between the outgoing and incoming SSPs was conducted today, marking the seamless transition of leadership. The order came into effect after the Jammu and Kashmir government repatriated Rakesh Balwal to his parent cadre in Manipur.
As part of this reshuffle, Ashish Kumar Mishra, who previously held the position of SSP in Anantnag, was appointed as the new SSP for Srinagar. Meanwhile, Dr. G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy assumed the role of SSP in Anantnag.
