Armed men loot cash from  J&K Bank branch in North Kashmir’s Pattan

Pattan, April, 22 : After the Branch of J&K was looted in Khore Sherebad Pattan, Security Gaurd on duty said that the Robbers were wearing PPE Kits and he tried to suffocate them but failed and in response, they snatched his weapon and broke it.

Talking to reporters, he said that the Robbers who were three in the number entered into the bank with weapons and fired some shots in the air.

“I tried to suffocate them but failed to do so and in response, they broke my weapon and assaulted me”, he added.

He further said that they entered the cabin of the Branch Manager and fired two gunshots there.

Branch Head, Tariq Ahmad said that a total amount of two lac eight six thousand has been looted by robbers from the bank.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Baramulla, Rayees Bhat confirmed the incident and said that a masked man looted cash from a bank in Pattan and also tried to snatch the rifle of the bank guard.

“We are verifying and investigating as to what has actually happened there, he added.

Earlier, Unknown armed robbers looted the J&K Bank Branch in Khore Sherebad of Pattan area in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.

While escaping, the Robbers hurriedly took someone else’s car and fled, leaving the car in which they had arrived.
