Anantnag Police recovers pelts of Lions,leopards ,bears ,accused held

Anantnag: The Jammu Kashmir Police here in Anantnag district along with wildlife crime control New Delhi on Saturday morning raided a house in the Sherpora area of the township and recovered banned skins of animals.

Sources said that police had recovered banned animal skins of Lions, Leopards, and Bear from an individual (name withheld) who was also taken under detention.

Added that the Anantnag Police headed by SHO Saddarthan Anantnag, Rashid Ahmad raided a house in the Shirpora area in the wee hours of Saturday and recovered banned animal skins from a house and took the owner of the house under detention.

The Police have registered a case in this regard and started further investigation into the incident.
