All India Council for Technical Education selects IUST to offer B.Tech courses to working professionals

Awantipora, October 19 –The Islamic university of Science and Technology, Awantipora has been granted approval for running B.Tech Degree Courses for the Working Professionals also. It was after an AICTE constituted committee evaluated the credentials of different institutes at a pan India level and considered IUST, Awantipora under the scheme. This is aimed at providing opportunity to in- service candidates for professional upgradation.

As such, AICTE has approved an over and above intake of thirty seats in each course of the Departments of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering. In this regard, IUST shall shortly issue a notice inviting applications from in-service candidates for seeking admissions to the courses.

Pertinently, IUST is offering about fifty degree/ diploma courses in various departments and schools and has also introduced a 4-years innovative programme of study called Design Your Degree, enabling students to steer their learning journeys with freedom to choose their own courses from a diverse basket to gain a holistic outlook.
