Administration suspends two senior officers in Anantnag after remaining absent in Public Darbar

Authorities on Tuesday suspended Tehsil Supplies Officer Bijbehara while AEE Irrigation sub-division Bijbehara was asked to explain his position for remaining absent during public darbar.
According to reports, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bijbehara on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag put Tehsil Supplies Officer Bijbehara under suspension after found involved in dereliction of duties while AEE Irrigation sub-division Bijbehara was asked to explain his position for remaining absent in public darbar at Townhall Bijbehara.
Earlier Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag KK Sidha convened a public darbar in which people from different and far off places took part while officers of the district administration also remained present.
During darbar, several deputations met officials of the district administration and apprised them of their day to day problems including the pathetic condition of roads, irregularity in power supply, and paucity of drinking water. However, officials patiently heard the grievances and assured people to address their genuine concerns within due course of time.
According to reports, people of the district appreciated the conduct of darbar and hailed the administration for taking action against officials who remained absent at the occasion.
