Acute water scarcity hits Khanagund Tral residents

Tral: The residents of Khanagund village in Aripal tehsil of Tral sub district have been facing hardships in absence of drinking water supply in their area.

A group of residents told Arising State that they have been facing water crisis for more than two weeks, due to which they face difficulties.

One of the residents has said that “the village has not received water supply for fifteen days, as the pipeline reportedly got blocked somewhere.”

He said that in absence of drinking water facility, people usually get water from the nearby localities these days.

The residents demanded immediate restoration of water supply in the area.

Meanwhile, ADC Tral, Shabir Ahmad Raina told Arising State that engineers were deputed to the area early in the morning today.
