CDS Gen Anil Chauhan Reviews Anti-Infiltration Grid in North Kashmir
Srinagar: Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan visited North Kashmir to review the anti-infiltration grid and assess the overall operational preparedness of security forces in the region.
During the visit, the CDS was briefed on the evolving threat landscape, prevailing security situation, and the readiness of formations to effectively respond to emerging challenges along the Line of Control (LoC).
Addressing troops, General Chauhan emphasized the need to prepare for future warfare scenarios, highlighting multiple domain warfare as a key challenge. He underlined the importance of jointness among forces, adoption of advanced technology, and rigorous training as critical components of the military’s strategy.
He also urged personnel deployed in forward areas to maintain heightened vigilance and ensure operational dominance along the LoC, stressing that any hostile intent must be pre-empted, intercepted, and decisively neutralised.
The visit reflects continued focus on strengthening security mechanisms and preparedness in sensitive border areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
