Trump warns Israel not to attack Iran, says both sides broke truce

Washington/Jerusalem/Tehran, June 24:
U.S. President Donald Trump has said that both Israel and Iran have violated the ceasefire, but expressed particular frustration with Israel’s actions. “I’m really unhappy with Israel,” Trump said, urging Tel Aviv to halt its military campaign. “Bring your pilots home, now!” he added, calling for an immediate end to airstrikes.
The statement came shortly after Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that he had ordered “intense strikes” on Tehran, accusing Iran of breaching the truce negotiated by the United States and Qatar.
Iran, however, has denied violating the ceasefire, with its top security body warning that Iranian forces are prepared to respond decisively to any further Israeli aggression.
On Monday, Iran launched a salvo of missiles at a U.S. military base in Qatar, in direct retaliation for earlier American strikes on its nuclear sites.
Since the start of the conflict on June 13, Iran reports over 400 fatalities, including 13 children, and more than 3,056 people injured. On the Israeli side, at least 24 people have been killed in Iranian missile attacks.
