DIG MAQSOOD UL ZAMAN, IPS REVIEWED ARRANGEMENTS AT BALIDAN STAMBH  FOR CEREMONIAL TRIBUTES TO BE PAID  TO THE MARTYRS ON INDEPENDENCE DAY 2026

Srinagar, August 06: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG)  Maqsood ul Zaman, IPS, (Overall Supervisory Officer IDP26) convened meeting of all stakeholders at Balidan Stambh, Pratap Park, Srinagar today to review and finalize the preparations for ceremonial tributes to be paid to the Martyrs at Balidan Stambh on Independence Day 2026.

During the meeting, all concerned departments and agencies were comprehensively briefed on the need for robust and coordinated security arrangements. Discussions were held on enhancing the overall security of the venue and its surroundings, effective access control management, continuous monitoring and thorough security checks well in advance.

All stakeholders were directed to ensure meticulous inter-departmental coordination so that the solemn occasion of paying tributes to the martyrs is conducted seamlessly and securely.
