Srinagar, Jan 21: The General Administration Department (GAD) of Jammu and Kashmir has reiterated its directive to government employees to register on the iGOT Karmayogi Portal, a critical platform under the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB), also known as Mission Karmayogi.

Mission Karmayogi is a flagship initiative by the Government of India, aimed at enhancing the competencies of civil service employees for more efficient public service delivery. The program provides access to exhaustive learning modules designed to assess and develop core and new competencies among government functionaries.

According to the Associated News Bureau, despite previous instructions, GAD has observed a significant number of employees are yet to register on the portal. The department has taken this matter seriously and issued fresh instructions to all Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments to ensure compliance.

The circular, issued by Commissioner/Secretary M. Raju, IAS, mandates registration, enrollment, and participation in Competency Assessment Tests available on the portal. Departments have been instructed to submit action-taken reports to GAD to ensure accountability.

The directive underscores the importance of aligning government services with evolving governance needs and modern administrative standards. With modules covering diverse areas, the portal aims to empower employees to meet the demands of dynamic administrative roles effectively.

Key Highlights from the Circular:

Registration Mandate: Employees must register using official government email IDs on the iGOT Karmayogi Portal.

Competency Assessment: Participation in competency evaluations is compulsory to identify and address skill gaps.

Action Taken Reports: Administrative heads are required to ensure compliance and report progress to the GAD.

This renewed push is expected to accelerate the capacity-building drive, fostering a more agile and skilled workforce within the government.
