Young Cricket Prodigy Moomin Liyakat’s Remarkable Journey to Success

Kulgam, 25 July: In a remarkable display of talent and determination, 10-year-old Moomin Liyakat from Matibugh village, Kulgam District, has set the cricketing world abuzz with his extraordinary skills and passion for the game. Despite his tender age, Moomin has chosen cricket as his profession and is already making significant strides in his sporting journey.

Under the watchful guidance of renowned cricketer and mentor, Parvaiz Rasool, Moomin has been receiving the right training and support at the esteemed Jaipur Cricket Academy. The academy, known for nurturing young talents, has been instrumental in helping Moomin unleash his full potential in the sport.

During a special master class led by Irfan Pathan, another celebrated figure in the cricketing world, Moomin’s outstanding performances and dedication caught the veteran’s eye. Impressed by the young boy’s technique and love for the game, Pathan remarked, “He will be in my eyes,” signifying his high regard for Moomin’s talent.

From a young age of five, Moomin’s love for cricket has burned passionately in his heart. He sets aside traditional playtime with kids his age to pursue his dream of playing cricket at a competitive level. Supported by his first mentor and coach, his father, Moomin is determined to carve a niche for himself in the cricketing arena.

Proudly declaring himself a fan of renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, Moomin’s enthusiasm for the sport is evident in his unwavering determination. His parents are thrilled to witness their son’s achievements at such a young age and express their joy at seeing him pursue his passion for cricket.

With the unwavering support of his father, Moomin has a turf pitch at home for practice, showcasing the family’s dedication to nurturing his cricketing skills. Recognizing Moomin’s immense potential, the Kulgam District Administration has also stepped in to provide him with a complete cricket kit worth Rs 10,000, further encouraging him on his journey.

In light of his promising talent, Moomin’s father has made a resolute decision to send him back to Jaipur Cricket Academy in October, offering him the ideal platform to grow as a cricketer and achieve his dreams.

With the rare privilege of practicing and attending trials at the academy without any fee, coupled with the support from his family and mentors, Moomin Liyakat is destined for a bright future in the world of cricket.
