Winter Vacations Likely to Begin in Kashmir from December 9
Srinagar, Dec 03 : The School Education Department in Kashmir is expected to announce winter vacations in a phased manner starting December 9, sources revealed on Tuesday.
According to official sources, a proposal has been submitted to the government by the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK), suggesting winter holidays from December 9 to February 28, 2025.
For primary classes, the vacations are proposed to begin on December 9, while secondary and senior secondary classes may continue for an additional week before starting their break.
The decision comes as Kashmir experiences a prolonged spell of intense cold, with temperatures plummeting across the region in recent weeks.
