Violation of transfer policy: Some employees in Kokernag Development Authority not transferred since decades

Anantnag: Rampant violations of the transfer policy goes unabated in District Anantnag, as some government employees in Kokernag Development Authority (KDA) have been overstaying their positions for decades.
Official sources revealed that some employees in Kokernag Development Authority have remained in the same posts for many years without being transferred, which directly contravenes the transfer policy, as according to government policy, government employees are supposed to spend a minimum of two years and a maximum of three years in one post.
Despite the government’s stated commitment to transparency and accountability in public administration, the ground reality paints a different picture. It appears that the actual enforcement of these policies is lacking. The primary purpose of transfers should be to enhance administrative efficiency, improve the work culture, and ensure a people-friendly approach, but these goals seem to be unmet in practice, sources said.
They said that there are several other government departments in Anantnag District where the employees have remained in the same positions for an extended period without any transfers.
