Uniform Exam Schedule for Classes 1-9 in Kashmir to Begin in November

Srinagar, Nov 09: The Director of School Education, Dr. Tasaduq Hussain, has announced the implementation of a uniform examination schedule for students up to Class 9 in the Kashmir Valley. The exams are set to commence in the second week of November and conclude by December 15.

Dr. Hussain emphasized that the exams will be designed to prioritize students’ well-being, ensuring they are student-friendly and competency-based. “These exams are aimed at minimizing stress for students and making assessments more inclusive,” he stated.

The new schedule is intended to standardize the examination process across the region, promoting consistency and easing anxiety among students. This announcement follows the J&K government’s prior clarification that year-end exams for Classes 1-9 would occur in December, ending weeks of speculation.
