Two women killed in hit-and-run accident in Rafiabad, Baramulla

Two women on Tuesday were killed in north Kashmir’s Rafiabad area of Baramulla district after the duo were crossing the highway.
Reports said that two women were injured after hit by a speedy Tavera while crossing the highway.
Soon after the accident both the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors declared them brought dead on their arrival.
The duo has been identified as Saleema Begum wife of Bashir Ahmad Mir resident of Wagay Mohalla Hadipora and Fatima wife of Mohammad Yousuf Mir resident of Wagay Mohalla Hadipora.
A police officer while confirming the incident said that the driver of the vehicle has fled from the spot and FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigations has been taken up.
