Two-Day National Seminar on Teachings of Sufis and Rishis of Kashmir Begins at GDC Tral
Pulwama, 5 Nov: A two-day national seminar on “Revisiting the Moral Teachings of Sufis and Rishis of Kashmir” began at Government Degree College Tral, organized in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.
The event, held at the college auditorium, was attended by Prof. Bashar Bashir, former chairman of the Center for Sheikh-ul-Alam Studies, University of Kashmir as chief guest.
Dr. Jahangir Iqbal, Head of the Persian Department at Kashmir University, also attended, along with College Principal Mushtaq Ahmad Malik, renowned physician Dr. Nisar Ahmad Trali, and several scholars and students.
The seminar delved into the moral and spiritual teachings of Kashmir’s Sufi saints and Rishis, emphasizing their lasting influence on the region’s ethical and cultural fabric.
