Two CRPF men, SPO killed in Kreeri militant attack
Two paramilitary Central Reserve Police troopers and an SPO was killed after suspected militants attacked a joint Naka party in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Sources said that militants fired upon the joint checking (Naka) party of CRPF and police. The fire was retaliated by forces triggering in a brief shootout in which forces personal including an SPO and three CRPF personal were killed.
During the exchange of firing one SPO identified as Muzaffar Ahmad was killed and two CRPF troopers were injured who later also succumbed in the hospital, the officer said.
The officer further said that there are chances of encounter as the militants have been surrounded by forces.
Forces have launched search and cordon operation in the area. More details awaited.
