Two Army Soldiers Injured in Ongoing Encounter in Kalakote, Jammu Division
Two Army soldiers were injured in an ongoing firefight in the Tata Pani area of Kalakote, situated in the Rajouri district of Jammu Division, on Tuesday, according to sources.
It was reported that during the initial exchange of gunfire, two Army personnel sustained injuries.
Without delay, all wounded soldiers were evacuated from the location and swiftly transported to the MI Hospital for medical attention. Their current condition is reported to be stable.
An official from the army disclosed that the operation to locate the concealed militants is still actively underway in the region.
He elaborated that intensive operations are presently being executed within the woodlands of Kalakote in Rajouri to monitor the movements of these militants.
This joint operation was launched by both the Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, as confirmed by the officer.
The encounter was initiated in the forested area on Monday evening following an extensive day-long search operation.
