Tral: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee organises “Chalo Panchayat Ki Aur” programme

Tral, 24 April: The Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee on Saturday organised a panchayat level programme in Narastan village of Tral sub-district.

The programme titled as “Chalo Panchayat Ki Aur” was held in presence of J&K Congress General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi, and its youth leader Manpreet Singh.

Talking to media persons, SS Channi said that programme was held ahead of National Panchayati Raj day, which is being celebrated on April 24 every year.

He said that Congress has taken the initiative to enquire about the developmental results of Back to village programmes, which were held in three phases.

Singh rued that “on the ground, no such development is being seen in any part, as govt only spent 3, 5, or 7 lac rupees in the panchayat based developmental works, just to show the people their presence.”

He appealed governor and district administration to reach the people and ensure development in all the areas.
