Traffic Diversions in Place for Muharram-ul-Haram Processions

Budgam, July 28th: In preparation for the upcoming Muharram-ul-Haram processions on the 9th of Muharram-1445 (Friday), the local authorities have announced traffic diversions to ensure the convenience and safety of the general public and mourners. The diversions will be implemented from 2 PM onwards until the culmination of the processions.

To facilitate smooth traffic flow, the following routes have been designated:

1. **Ichgam Khansahib-based traffic:** Vehicles are advised to follow the route – Wadipora-Khanpora-Qazibagh-Ichgam and onwards.

2. **Downward traffic from Ichgam:** Vehicles should take the following route – Ichgam-Zurigund internal-Khanpora-Wadipora and onwards.

3. **Traffic from Choon towards Budgam:** The recommended route is – Choon-Choon Crossing-Zurigund internal-Khanpora-Wadipora and onwards.

4. **Traffic heading towards the Mammath and Zalapora axis:** Vehicles should take the route – Budgam-Railway Road-Karipora-SSP Office-Paller-Mahawara and onwards.

The local authorities kindly urge the general public to adhere to these advisory measures in order to avoid traffic congestion during the processions. These arrangements have been put in place to ensure the safety and convenience of all participants and commuters.
