Srinagar, Apr 8 Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that three more separatist-aligned organisations in Jammu and Kashmir have disassociated themselves from the Hurriyat Conference, terming it a strong signal of growing trust in the Indian Constitution within the Valley.

In a post on social media platform X, Shah, as per news agency JKNS, wrote: “Three more organizations, namely Jammu Kashmir Islamic Political Party, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Democratic League, and Kashmir Freedom Front, disassociate themselves from the Hurriyat. It is a prominent demonstration of the people’s trust in the Constitution of India within the valley.”

He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a united and powerful Bharat stands “even more bolstered” as 11 such organisations have now moved away from separatism and extended support to the Indian Union.

The latest development comes at a time when the central government continues to project political normalcy and increased participation in the democratic framework in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370.
