Three Govt Schools in Anantnag Record Below 30% Pass Percentage in Class 10th Exams

Anantnag: In a concerning trend, two Government High Schools and one Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) in Anantnag district have recorded below 30% pass percentage in the recently declared Class 10th results by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE). The overall pass percentage across the Kashmir Division stood at 79.25%, highlighting the underperformance of these particular institutions.
The government schools with notably poor results include:

Government High School Kapran: Out of 49 students who appeared, only 13 passed, resulting in a 26.53% pass rate.

Government High School Halsidar Kapran: 51 students appeared, 13 passed — a 25.49% pass percentage.

Government Boys High School Shamsipora: Of the 10 students who appeared, only 3 passed — a 30% pass rate.
According to official sources, out of approximately 180 government schools in District Anantnag, these three were the only ones to fall below the 30% mark, while most others achieved satisfactory academic outcomes.
