TA Soldier Injured in Tral Shooting Incident
Tral, Dec 04: A Territorial Army (TA) soldier sustained injuries after being shot by unidentified gunmen in the Sofigund Aripal area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday evening.
According to police sources, the assailants targeted the soldier outside his residence. The injured soldier, identified as Delhair Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi from Sofigund Khanagund, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. He suffered a leg injury and is reported to be in stable condition.
The soldier was on leave at the time of the incident. Following the attack, security forces launched a search operation in the area to track down the attackers.
Authorities have heightened security measures in the region as investigations into the incident continue. (KNO)
