New Delhi, July 10: Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Sunil Sharma, on Thursday met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin in New Delhi and held detailed discussions on the prevailing political situation, organisational affairs and public welfare priorities concerning Jammu and Kashmir.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the evolving political developments in the Union Territory and deliberated on measures to further strengthen the BJP’s organisational network across Jammu and Kashmir. They also discussed strategies to enhance grassroots engagement, expand public outreach and reinforce the party’s connect with people across all regions.

Sunil Sharma briefed the BJP National President on the aspirations of the people, developmental requirements and key governance-related concerns, while stressing the importance of responsive administration, inclusive growth and effective implementation of public welfare initiatives in the Union Territory.

The discussions also focused on ensuring that government welfare programmes and development initiatives reach every section of society, particularly residents living in remote and underserved areas. Both leaders underlined the need for sustained public engagement and stronger coordination at the grassroots level to address people’s concerns more effectively.

Nitin Nabin reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to the peace, progress and overall development of Jammu and Kashmir, assuring that the party would continue working towards addressing public issues while further strengthening its organisational presence across the Union Territory.

Sunil Sharma reiterated the party’s resolve to continue serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir and said the BJP remains committed to promoting development, good governance and public welfare under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.(KNC)
