Social activist Mr.Abdul Qayoom Mir led by a number of social workers today visited various far-flung villages of Tehsil Thanna Mandi and lend ear to various issues raised by the inhabitants of these areas. The residents of villages seronwala ,katemar, loonpal and Upper Mangota raised several issues,during their interaction with Mir like , poor road connectivity,lack of potable water supply, and access to education. The people of these areas said that they face a major problem when someone falls ill, particularly when they have to shift pregnant women to Thanna Mandi or Rajouri..They said that they have to lift essential commodities from Thanna Mandi on their shoulders which is very difficult. On the other side of this area falls Darhal,a neglected area , that completely lacks road connectivity. People living in these areas demanded connectivity of the road from Mangota to Semli on this occasion.
They also demanded school facility for their children especially to the foothills, so that their children do not face problems. On this occasion, Mr.Mir assured people that he will put forward their issues to higher-ups for quick redressal.
