Snow/ Rain continue in J&K for next 12 hours : MeT
Srinagar, 30 Jan: The Meteorological department on Monday said that snowfall/rain likely to continue in Jammu and Kashmir for next 12 hours.
An official of the MeT told The Kashmir Scroll that the weather is expect to gradual decrease in precipitation from later tonight.
He said that cloudy with light rain / snow at isolated to scattered places on tomorrow, adding that on 1st February the weather will remain partly cloudy.
Heavy snowfall may cause snow avalanche in avalanche prone areas during above period as higher reaches has accumulated snowfall > 1 ft, they added.
In an advisory MeT said that, People are once again advised NOT to venture out in avalanche prone areas unless emergency during next 2 days as possibility of avalanches has increased due to heavy snowfall—(KS)
