Seminar on Fire Safety and Prevention at IUST

Awantipora, April, 19: A seminar was organised on Fire Safety and Prevention at Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) Awantipora in collaboration with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services Government of J&K here today.

The event involved a practical demonstration of fire prevention techniques for saving lives and property in which security staff, students and other officials of the varsity took an active part.

The seminar was jointly organized by the office of Dean of Students and Proctorial Office.

The inaugural lecture was delivered by Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal who highlighted the significance of an awareness in this regard.

Also present during the event were Finance Officer Sameer Wazir, Dean of Students Dr. Anisa Jan, Sr.Proctor Dr. Sheikh Jameil and the Officials from Fire Service Department were DFO Mr. Muzaffer Ali Bhat, Asstt. Director Tawseef Hussain.
