Pulwama Encounter Day 02: Firing resumes, 01 Army Soldier critically injured
Srinagar, July 02: An army trooper was injured after firing resumed Friday morning at Rajpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources said that due to darkness operation was halted yesterday and started this morning. During the intial exhchange of firing today morning one army trooper received bullet wound. He was immediately shifted to 92 Base Hospital for treatment, they said.
As per earlier reports , a joint team of Police and army’s 44RR launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering off the gunfight.
