Prominent political activists from Dooru constituency join Apni Party
Srinagar : Several prominent political activists including Panchayat representatives from Dooru constituency of district Anantnag on Tuesday joined the Apni Party. Those who joined the party included Bashir Ahmad, Sarpanch Hengipora, Mohammad Sadiq Chohan from Gund Verinag, Jaleel Chohan from Hengipora, (Sadar-i-Auqaaf), Mohammad Khaleel from Hengi Pora, Mohammad Safeer from Bithhalan, and Noor-ud-Din Bumla from Hengi Pora.
Addressing the new entrants, Apni Party general secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir said that political activists across Jammu and Kashmir especially in Kashmir valley have risked their lives in order to nurture the democratic process in this politically hostile region. He said under the leadership of its president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Apni Party has emerged as a credible political platform which believes has a rationalistic approach to bring a change on the ground.On this occasion, the new entrants to the Apni Party avowed to work to strengthen the party’s cadre at the grassroots level in the Dooru constituency.
Besides, Rafi Ahmad Mir, the new entrants to the Apni Party were welcomed by Abdul Majeed Padder Chief Coordinator, Muntazir Mohi-ud-Din state secretary, Mohammad Ashraf Mir provincial president, Abdul Rahim Rather District President Anantnag, Noor Mohammad Sheikh District President Srinagar, Ghulam Mohammad Mir District President Pulwama, Nazir Ahmad Wani (Dailgami) provincial secretary Kashmir, Showkat Gayoor, Irfan Naqib and Dr. Mir Samiullah.
