Police dispel rumours about Zakir Naik who was killed in Kulgam encounter
The Jammu and Kashmir police has said that some vested interests were spreading rumours that Zakir Naik, who was killed in Kulgam encounter was not a militant.
A senior police official said that Zakir Naik, who was killed in Kulgam encounter on June 30 had joined militant ranks only a few days ago before he was killed.
He said that there was no truth in the rumours that Zakir was not a militant.
Meanwhile, police appealed to the people not to believe in rumours and warned that legal action will be taken against those who are spreading rumours.
