Police, Army recovers huge cache of arms, ammunition in Uri
Police and Army on Friday recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in north Kashmir’s Uri area of Baramulla district which includes 3 pistols and 15 grenades.
According to Kashmir News Service, a senior police officer revealed that based on specific inputs about the presence of weapon and ammunition cache in Dogi Pahad area of Uri, a search operation was launched jointly by Army 5 Jat and police on August 11, 2020, which lasted for three days.
During the search forces made recovery on August 13,a huge cache of arms and ammunition including 3 pistols with magazine & ammunition, 73 AK rounds, 2 Detonators, 15 Grenades, besides Pakistan currency were recovered from Trenarian Nallah in Lachipora area of Uri.
