Overnight Fire Damages Three Residential Houses in Barbarshah Locality of Srinagar
Srinagar, Oct 8 :In the midst of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, the Barbarshah locality witnessed a distressing incident overnight as three residential houses fell victim to a destructive fire, as reported by an official from the F&ES Department on Sunday.
At approximately 3:30 am, authorities received an urgent notification about a fire outbreak at Barbarshah chowk. Swiftly responding to the emergency, both manpower and firefighting equipment were dispatched to the scene, with officials working tirelessly to bring the raging inferno under control.
“Men and machinery were soon after rushed towards the spot”, the official said, adding, “After strenuous efforts the fire was brought under control.”
The incident, the official said, due to congestion in the area, two houses were left with substantial damage even as another house also received damage to some extent.
