Over 44.08% Voter Turnout Recorded Upto 1:00 PM

SRINAGAR, Oct 1: The ongoing third and final phase of the General Elections to the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly has recorded a 44.08% voter turnout across 40 assembly constituencies as of 1 pm. These constituencies span seven districts: Bandipora, Baramulla, Jammu, Kathua, Kupwara, Samba, and Udhampur.

According to the district-wise data provided by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, the voter turnout percentages are as follows:

  • Bandipora: 42.67%
  • Baramulla: 36.60%
  • Jammu: 43.36%
  • Kathua: 50.09%
  • Kupwara: 42.08%
  • Samba: 49.73%
  • Udhampur: 51.66%

A total of 39,18,220 voters are eligible to vote in this phase, including 20,09,033 male voters, 19,40,092 female voters, and 57 third-gender voters. Among them, there are 1.94 lakh youth voters between the ages of 18-19, along with 35,860 Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and 32,953 elderly voters above the age of 85.

The respective District Administrations have made elaborative arrangements at all the polling stations for free, fair and transparent elections.
