Online classes still a distant dreams for many students in Karnah

The teaching profession and the teaching community are going through a complete change nowadays, due to fatal COViD-19 and the closure of educational institutions, for students safety, until normalcy has made the stakeholders in the education field to adopt a new method of online education to see that the learning method is not halted.
The UT of Jammu and Kashmir has also shifted to online education. But the online classes and learning is still a distant dream for many in border villages of Karnah in north Kashmir.
Students while talking to our correspondent said, ‘ there are a lot of areas where network connectivity isn’t available. The distant villages of Karnah including Jada, Jabdi, Kharama, Seemari, Amrohi, and Hajitra are the areas where online education is still far- off dream. Students of these areas are suffering a lot due to the non-availability of network coverage.
A student of the 9th standard said that it has been 5 months since he hadn’t attended any online classes due to network issues. There are a lot of complaints from the students of other villages where it’s still not possible to attend live classes on 2G network due to  ban on 4G networks government n the district.
Students demanded that their issues need to be sorted out as soon as possible to secure their future.
