One militant killed in Tral gunfight: Operation on

Tral: A militant has been killed in a gunfight at Tral area of South Kashmir on Thursday morning.

Reports reaching Arising state said that the gunfight started in Bagandar area of Machama village in Tral, following a cordon and search operation there.

As per the latest reports, one militant has been killed while the search operation is going on in the area.

Earlier, a  joint team of Army, CRPF and Police launched Cardon and Search operation (CASO) in the area following the movement of militants.

An official said that as the joint team of forces encircled the spot the hiding militants fired upon them, the fire was retaliated ensuing gun battle in the area.

Police in a tweet said one unidentified militant killed at Maghama area of Tral Awantipora.
