NPP Supremo seeks intervention of President of India vis-à-vis J&K

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron, National Panthers Party, former Legislator in J&K & Executive Chairman, State Legal Aid Committee, J&K has sent an urgent appeal to Shri Ramnath Kovind, the President of India for his urgent intervention on Jammu and Kashmir situation to save the lives of millions of residents of J&K which have been under President’s Rule after bifurcation of J&K reducing it into two Union Territories namely, Ladakh & Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, 2019. NPP Supremo has urged the President to allow all recognized political parties from J&K to have an audience with the President.

NPP Supremo submitted to the President of India that the situation in J&K is horrifying and the residents of both Jammu Pradesh and Kashmir Valley have been living in the most horrifying condition with no rule of law, no fundamental rights and no appropriate government in J&K. He urged the President that J&K is under President’s Rule and it shall be appropriate and in the national interest that the Hon’ble President may be pleased to send a special delegation of Members of Parliament to visit all the border districts as well as Kashmir Valley who may be able to interact with the political representatives from all recognized political parties in J&K.

He further submitted that more than 5 lacs posts have not been filled in the Class-IV, Class-III & Class-II categories for years and naturally administration stands nowhere except using authoritarian force. He urged the Hon’ble President for urgent intervention to save the lives and liberty of the entire population in J&K. He urged the President to direct the Union government to restore statehood of J&K which has been one of the oldest states in India when the Constitution of India was promulgated in 1950.

He submitted to the President that there is no law and order in the entire state of J&K. The government offices are not working at all because the government offices, even the schools have no employees or teachers. He submitted that the political parties have been shut either inside their houses or in jails. There is an urgent need for the revival of political parties and political activities in J&K so that the political parties can interact with the people and look after their problems. There is no trace of democracy, rule of law and gross violation of human rights in J&K.

Your Excellency, only your intervention can save the Indian residents in J&K by restoring statehood of J&K, allowing political parties with their fundamental rights to interact with people in all districts of J&K. Restoration of statehood, holding an urgent Assembly election so that a political government may get a chance to interact with people. This is the only way that other political issues like real reorganization and meaningful confederation of J&K could be established. So far as Ladakh is concerned Your Excellency may be pleased to deal with the situation according to the wishes of the people of Ladakh. Let J&K be restored statehood at the earliest to save J&K and national interest.
